About the Artist – Sarojini Datta 
Sarojini Datta is a self-taught artist residing in Noida. She works with all media whether it is watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, pen or ink, as she enjoys the different experiences each of them brings. Her work is more realistic or impressionistic.

Sarojini graduated in Psychology (Hons) from LSR, Delhi but her prime interest has been painting. Even in the “ugliness” of life, she tries to find beauty. She had her 1st solo exhibition at the age of 16 at Triveni Kala Sangam. In the last 10 years, she has participated in numerous group shows, both in India and abroad, and also attended various art camps and symposiums including one in Greece and now heading to Italy.

In 2020, after a long gap, Sarojini had her solo exhibition in New Delhi where she got a great response and sold many of her works. For her, Art is meditation. Art is positivity. Painting is her space where she forgets time and feels that she is removed from the problems of life, and on returning to reality feels elated and lighthearted.
